—DONATE SURPLUS
We take it all. No stress. No resale. No leftover inventory.
Brand new overstock sitting in your warehouse costs you space, time, and money. Storehouse moves it efficiently, keeps it out of landfills, and puts it directly into the hands of Michigan families — with full documentation for your ESG and tax reporting.

No resale. Ever. Your goods go directly to Michigan families and nonprofits — never back into the market.
From a few cases to a full semi truckload — we take it all. No minimum quantity, no maximum. Every donation finds a home.
Full documentation provided. Tax acknowledgment, impact report, and ESG-ready metrics after every donation.
We handle logistics. Local pickup or third party freight coordination — you don't manage a thing.
—Why It Works
One relationship. 675+ organizations and schools served.
Most companies with surplus face the same problem: you have more than one nonprofit can handle, and you don't have time to piece it out to dozens of organizations one case at a time.
Storehouse solves that. Whether you have a few cases or a full semi truckload, we take it all and redistribute everything through our network of 675+ vetted Michigan nonprofits and schools. You make one call. We handle the rest.
And here's what matters most to many of our corporate partners: we do not resell. Ever. Your goods go directly to families and organizations in need — through a process trusted by some of Michigan's largest manufacturers and retailers.
—What we take
Brand new. Complete. Ready to use.
We specialize in brand new household goods, personal care products, education supplies, and more — the kind of items Michigan families and nonprofits need most and can least afford. The list below is representative, not exhaustive — if you're not sure whether your goods are a fit, reach out. We'll tell you in one conversation.

Food
We accept brand new goods in a wide range of conditions — overstock, dented packaging, items expiring soon, seasonal inventory, out of box, or older model. If the product itself is new and complete, we want to hear from you. We also accept any volume — from a few cases to a full semi truckload. There is no minimum. Size is never a reason not to reach out.
What we don't accept
We keep it simple: no used goods, and no pieces or parts of a whole product. If an item isn't complete and ready to use as is, it's not the right fit. But even then — reach out. If we can't take it, we're connected to a national network and may be able to help you find a home for it anyway.
—The Process
Here's exactly what
happens after you reach out.
Step 01
Contact Us
Tell us what you have, roughly how much, and where it's located. On a business day, we are typically in touch within four to six hours — usually less.
Step 02
We Assess and Confirm
We confirm the goods are a fit for our network. No lengthy intake — most donations are confirmed in a single conversation.
Step 03
We Handle Logistics
Within two hours of Grand Rapids, we pick up directly. For larger quantities or longer distances, we coordinate third party freight — you don't manage a thing.
Step 04
Documentation Delivered
You receive a tax acknowledgment letter, a thank you, and any impact reporting your team needs for ESG or sustainability goals. Done.
—WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Everything your sustainability team needs.
Nothing you have to chase down.
We know that for many companies, donating surplus isn't just the right thing to do — it's a reportable business activity. Your sustainability team needs numbers. Your finance team needs documentation. Your leadership wants to see the outcome.
If your team needs something specific for a board presentation or annual report, ask. We'll work with you to make it useful.
Tax Acknowledgment Letter
IRS compliant documentation for your records — provided after every donation.
Impact & Custom Reports
Need something specific for your board or annual report? Ask — we'll build what's actually useful for your team. Reports can include where your goods went, which organizations received them, and how many people were served.
ESG Metrics
Truckloads diverted from landfill, retail value of goods donated, and community reach — formatted for your sustainability reporting.
“We donate to the Storehouse because we know our products are distributed efficiently among 670+ organizations with just one phone call.”
—Ready to Move Your Surplus?
Let's get it off your floor
and into Michigan homes.
Whether you have a few cases or a full semi truckload, brand new goods that are sitting unused belong in communities — not warehouses. Reach out and we will help you figure out the right next step — even if that means connecting you to someone outside our network.
Not sure if your goods are a fit? Call us — we're easy to reach and happy to help you find the right home for them.
